Cycles

Life is formed and sustained from a stew of interacting chemicals. These interactions form feedback loops which allow life to be in a state of constant reaction to the environment both within and without. Cycles is a computer generated installation where participants become the source of energy driving a system of feedback loops. Participants' movements are captured by a web cam and interpreted by a computer to become energy driving a network of agents representing chemicals in the body. The agents which are arranged into feedback loops, transfer the participants energy to other agents in the loops which cause them to energize and spawn new feedback loops. The result is a complex web of interacting cycles where the user must react to the constantly transforming loops so they can be sustained.
